Our professionally designed master control room offers a rare blend of accurate listening, solid technical capability, and a creative environment to make music. It’s fully interconnected to our live room, vocal booth, and three isolation rooms. Full-spectrum, zoned LED lighting sets the vibe of choice.
AN ELITE BLEND OF ANALOG & DIGITAL EQUIPMENT
Our centerpiece is a well-maintained and customized 56-channel Neve 8128 with Flying Faders, one of the most sought-after brands in the industry, known for its rich sound. There’s 48+ channels of I/O with digital converters, and a 24-track tape machine. We shape your sound with racks full of classic analog outboard gear and run it in a dual Mac/PC environment. We monitor with Tannoy, Genelec and Yamaha speakers.
A LEGENDARY ACOUSTIC DESIGN
Studio A’s unique “shovel” configuration comes from the legendary acoustic designer Vincent Van Haaff. Our control room was one of the last projects of a nearly 40-year career that included landmarks Capitol Records, Sony Studios, A&M Records, and Village Recorders. It’s a purpose-built, large-format room, with line-of-sight views of the live room and vocal booth, with full connectivity between five recording spaces.
